HE is an important treatable disorder on the differential diagnosis of limbic encephalitis. HE should be suspected in patients with acute and subacute onset of limbic symptoms with anti-thyroid antibodies, anti NAE Abs, slow background activities on EED and limbic lesions on the MRI. |
